This is me at Johnston Ridge with Mount Saint Helens in the background. You can just see the bottom of the crater peeking out from under the clouds. We picked and unfortunate day to visit as the clouds were low and it was raining. On a clear day the entire volcano is visible and the lava dome in the crater can be seen as well. The crater is about 5 miles from where I am standing in the picture.
